Minimum Kinetic(2015)

screen or projector, computer, dedicated software, sensor, 4K resolution

A tribute to kinetic artists and an exploration of perception based on simple elements and transformations. A set of monochromatic, straight lines rotates depending on the viewer's position. The simple rotation of the lines generates unexpected patterns and illusions (such as the McCollough effect).

Note: this work cannot be distributed as a video online, because of the nature of the illusion. Video compression tends to blend the lines and the result is too far from the original experience.
